Goals
A goal has a title, a rich-text description, a period and a target date.
You can create your own with New Goal — those are active immediately — or Accept / Decline goals your manager proposes to you.
The progress journal
On an active goal, press + Log update:
- Set the new percentage with the slider.
- Optionally expand Add notes (optional) to describe what happened, and attach files.
- Save.
Every update is kept as a timestamped history entry — press View all (n) to see who logged what and when. The goal's current percentage and its trend arrow (▲/▼) come from the latest entry.
Wrapping a goal up
When a goal concludes, mark it Achieved or Missed. Marked one by mistake? Reopen returns it to Active.
Once a goal is Achieved or Missed its progress journal becomes read-only. You can still download attached files, but no new updates can be logged.
Team Goals — managers and HR
If you lead a team, Goals in the top menu opens your Team Goals panel — also
the first item under Reviews in your /me sidebar. A Set a goal for yourself
link is always there when you want your own goals instead.
Managers see their direct reports. HR sees everyone, with a search box to find anyone by name or email.
Press View Goals beside a person to open their goals, where you can propose a new one. Proposed goals wait for the employee to Accept or Decline — you're notified either way, and a decline comes with their reason.
